Calvin Klein has announced Christy Turlington will be the face of their underwear line in a new global advertising campaign set to debut this autumn.
The 44 year-old model presently devotes much of her time to charity work. In 2010, she founded Every Mother Counts, an organization dedicated to preventing maternal mortality. Turlington first appeared on the catwalk for Calvin Klein in 1987, and a year later, became the face of their Eternity fragrance. She has also appeared in ads for the label’s denim and swim lines.
Recently, a location shoot for the campaign took place in Vieques, Puerto Rico, with fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti. Additionally, Turlington will also appear on the cover of the US edition of Harper’s Bazaar in June.
A mother of two, Turlington is married to actor and director Edward Burns.
